Scales falling from the eyes 恍然大悟
“那时,我领了祭司长的权柄和命令,往大马色去。王啊,我在路上,晌午的时候,看见从天发光,比日头还亮,四面照着我並与我同行的人。我们都仆倒在地,我就听见有声音用希伯来话向我说:‘扫罗!扫罗!为什么逼迫我?你用腳踢刺是难的!’我说:‘主啊,你是谁?’主说:‘我就是你所逼迫的耶稣。你起来站着,我特意向你显现,要派你作执事,作见证,将你所看见的事和我将要指示你的事证明出来。’”(使徒行传26:12-16)
扫罗从地上起来,睜开眼睛,竟不能看见什么。有人拉他的手,领他进了大马色。(使徒行传9:8)
亚拿尼亚就去了,进入那家,把手按在扫罗身上,说:“兄弟扫罗,在你来的路上向你显现的主,就是耶稣,打发我来,叫你能看见,又被圣灵充满。”扫罗的眼睛上,好像有鳞立刻掉下来,他就能看见。於是起来受了洗;吃过饭就健壮了。扫罗和大马色的门徒同住了些日子。(使徒行传9:17-19)
未悔改之前的扫罗是一位十分热心律法的法利赛人,很有学问,出生於良好家庭,很受人尊敬,和很多法利赛人一样,他也以为耶稣是妖惑群众的人。於是极力逼迫基督徒,捉拿他们下在监里。正当他往大马色的途中,耶稣卻向他显现,他的眼睛瞎了,什么也看不见,只听见有声音问他:扫罗,扫罗,为什么逼迫我。在大马色有一位信徒名叫亚拿尼亚,主向他显现,叫他去找扫罗,起初他有点犹疑,这扫罗岂不是正要来捉拿他们的么?他顺从神的命令去找扫罗。扫罗的眼睛立时开了,好像有鳞片掉下来,他不单肉体的眼开了,重要的是心灵的眼也开了,知道自己过去所作的,並非为神发热心,乃是逼迫神。扫罗后来改名为保罗,为神大发热心,甚至最后牺牲了性命,在罗马被判死刑殉道。
Kick against the pricks(用腳踢刺)解作自讨苦吃,作无谓的抵抗,是徒劳无功的。
Scales falling from the eyes解作突然明白了,开通了,恍然大悟,以前是瞎的,如今眼睛看得清楚了。
See the light解作看见了一些兆头,醒悟到一些事实或真理。
