我的神，荣耀归於你

我的神，荣耀归於你，今夜
为光中所有福分感谢你赏赐；
求保守我，啊，万王之王，
你全能翅膀覆翼。

主啊，因你的爱子赦免我，
今天所犯下的一切过失，
在我睡前能夠有和平，
对神，世人，和自己。

教导我生活，使我不怕死
看坟墓不过是我的眠床；
教导我死亡，使我能在
可畏大日进荣耀里。

啊，我的灵魂在你得安息，
进入甜美睡眠眼睛闭上，
安睡为了要再起来时
服事神更有力量。

如果我夜里不能夠入睡，
赐给我灵魂属天的思想，
不让恶梦扰乱我安息，
或黑暗权势侵害。

讚美真神万福之源，
天下万民都当颂扬，
天使天军齐颂主名，
讚美圣父圣子圣灵。

　　肯恩（Thomas Ken, 1637-1711）英国教牧，圣诗作家。
　　肯恩正直敢言，曾为主教，並英王查理二世宮廷牧师，讲道时，常当英王面前指责宮廷淫佚奢侈等罪恶。但查理许为诤友。后为主教，因不肯对英王威廉及玛莉（William & Mary），得罪当权者，於1691年去职。获释放后，在贫困中安度二十年去世。
　　在任溫彻斯特学院院长（Winchester College）时，为鼓励学生祷告写了祷告手冊（Manual of Prayer），其中载有早晚的祷告诗，只有“讚美真神”每篇的结束，成为今天教会通行的“三一颂”。

 

Glory to Thee, My God, this Night

Glory to Thee, my God, this night
For all the blessings of the light;
Keep me, O keep me, King of Kings,
Beneath Thy own almighty wings.

Forgive me, Lord, for Thy dear Son,
The ill that I this day has done,
That with the world, myself, and Thee
I, ere I sleep, at peace may be.

Teach me to live, that I may dread
The grave as little as my bed;
Teach me to die, that so I may
Rise glorious at the awful day.

O may my soul on Thee repose,
And with sweet sleep mine eyelids close,
Sleep that may me more vigorous make
To serve my God when I awake.

When in the night I sleepless lie,
My soul with heavenly thoughts supply;
Let no ill dreams disturb my rest,
No powers of darkness me molest.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him, all creatures here below,
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
